‘Innovation‘ was a key theme at the recent 2014 Summer Davos Forum of the WEF that Dato’ Vijay Eswaran attended in Tianjin.Dato’ Vijay Eswaran spoke on a panel titled ‘Culture of Innovation‘ and also had the opportunity to have a lively discussion with a group of young entrepreneurs from the Global Shapers Community. Innovation has been a focal issue for many countries since the 2008 financial crisis and through the sharings and sessions held at this event, the necessity to inspire innovation became more apparent.
Innovation is a result of challenging yourself constantly. Innovation is about learning to ask better questions. Though Asians are taught to shut up and just listen, this works only to a certain extent. Beyond that it’s about the questions you ask. The mind doesn’t need answers. The mind needs better questions.
